Over the weekend I went to a hibachi restaurant for my sister’s birthday but that didn’t stop me from ordering healthy and making it delicious while I am on a cleanse!
What I did:…
~Called ahead and asked if they could do brown rice with steamed veggies.
~Made & brought my own sauce: 1/2 cup coconut milk, fresh squeezed juice of 1 small lime, 1 Tbsp olive oil, 1/2 Tbsp cumin, 1/2 Tbsp chili powder, 1/2 Tbsp sesame seeds, 1/2 tsp garlic powder, chopped fresh cilantro and sea salt & pepper to taste.
~Ordered a sushi appetizer: avocado & cucumber roll with brown rice & no sauce. Topped with the fresh ginger..delicious!
*I saved the remaining fresh ginger for my meal!
~Ordered plain brown rice and plain steamed veggies with nothing on them. Added my pre-made sauce & the fresh ginger and it was amazing!!
I will definitely re-create this meal at home!!
